Smith & Milton the London brand identity company, have been appointed by James Brown London to develop its flagship Signature hair care range. The Signature range of products is about simple, effortlessly sexy styling – the embodiment of London cool. This is James Brown’s 1st collaboration with best friend Kate Moss, and combines 20 years of first hand experience creating iconic cover girl, catwalk and celebrity looks and is the essential toolkit for everyday styling.
The brand launched 18 months ago and is stocked exclusively in Boots, the update to the range is a refresh of the current packaging keeping it modern, memorable, simple and classic but giving it more prominence on shelf.
Of the pitch process, Lisa Barbour, James Brown London Marketing Manager, said: ‘Smith and Milton demonstrated a strong appreciation of our business plans, together with a thorough understanding of how we should approach the task. They showed huge enthusiasm for our brand. We’re looking forward to working together.’
Steven Anderson, Creative Director at Smith & Milton, said “This is a great win for us - the Client is ambitious and we faced some tough competition. We respect all the work that has been done to date and it is the Smith & Milton way not to tear down the things that are working. But there is a clear communication problem and our logic for the development of the range was what James Brown London had been looking for”.
